Commission an Artwork

More than a portrait. More than a place.

A meaningful commission does more than show what someone or somewhere looked like.

It can hold the memory of someone you love, honor a place filled with family history, celebrate a life’s work, or preserve a story you never want to lose.

I create vine charcoal portraits and oil paintings from photographs, but the finished artwork is about much more than the reference image. I look for the expression, atmosphere, relationships, and small details that make the subject meaningful to you.

My goal is not simply to copy a photograph.

My goal is to create a piece of artwork that feels personal, lasting, and full of life.

Vine Charcoal Portraits

Oil paintings are a beautiful way to honor a home, business, family property, landscape, or place connected to an important memory.

Some commissions begin with one strong photograph. Others require several images, historical photographs, or a newly created composition that brings different parts of the story together.

I may adjust the light, simplify distracting elements, combine references, or rework the composition so the finished painting feels unified and alive.

The goal is not simply to paint a building or landscape.

It is to paint what that place means to you.
